Walking through the thermal valley
Wairaki Thermal Valley Holiday Park is in a quiet rural location with a nice cafe and where you can walk through the thermal valley.
This a relaxed, laid back campsite that would be a great place to bring young children. There are peacock families in the grounds, as well as baby rabbits. But it is also a nice place just to chill out and enjoy the quiet environment, or to go for a walk through the valley.
The facilities are basic but clean, and the cost is very reasonable.
The owner has a real sense of humour - be sure to ask about the large spiders (mounted) on the wall inside the cafe...
