Puketi Forest is an ancient kauri forest containing magnificent stands of kauri, podocarp and hardwood trees. DOC and the Puketi Forest Trust are working to eradicate the pests and restore the forest to is former glory. You can stay at the DOC campsite right in the heart of the forest.
