Pukerua Bay Rest Area

There is a large rest area in Pukerua Bay as SH1 rejoins the coast while travelling north. It's a nice location to stop for a break, with a rugged view over the harbour.
While you can probably park overnight, it would be a noisy location. Also, being a very busy main highway, it wouldn't be safe to try to access it while driving south.
