The DOC Reserve at Waikawa is in a secluded forest area and would be an excellent campsite to enjoy our natural environment.
Unfortunately, it was getting dark when we arrived, and I needed to have mobile internet access, which was non-existent in this remote location.
So I didn't have time to have good look around and take pictures before getting back on the road and driving to the Ngatitoa Domain in Porirua.
