Raumati Beach has a carpark at the end of Matatua Road where self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight. There's also a restaurant if you feel like eating out.
It was a murky grey day when we visited, just after a storm had dumped on the coast. The pictures would look much more inviting on a sunny day.

Yes this a great place to park, and lovely on a sunny day of course. We walked south along the beach and went up one of the walkways and back along the road to Raumati shops for a coffee. We will be back.
