Fresh water
The Public Dump Station at Springvale Park in Wanganui has good access and also has fresh water available.
There are two dump stations with fresh water available. Both are well designed and easy to use and clean up.

We drove past on our way to Fielding and notice that there were motorhome parking in the reserve parking area, so we stopped to have a look.
This has now been designated as a freedom camping area for self-contained motor caravanners, making this an excellent free choice if staying in Wanganui.
