The Olde Creamery Cafe is in a country area just out of Cambridge and offers overnight parking to self-contained motor caravanners. The cafe looks really nice as well.

We called in on a Monday afternoon to find the cafe was closed. However, Chris, the owner, was onsite and she opened up the cafe so that we could have a look and take some pictures.

It's in a beautiflly restored old building, and has a really nice country feel. Originally built in 1892 to be used as a creamery for local farmers, it was used as a fertilizer depot in the 1940s. The present owners purchased the derelict building in 2001, and have done a great job of restoring it - I suspect to way better than it was originally.

Their cafe has won awards for its menu - check it out on their website. If you're looking for the occassional treat when travelling, this a pretty good option.

Chris said that a lot of the motorhomers will come in for breakfast, which they can eat outside.

The cafe is closed on Monday and Tuesday, and offers lunch and morning and afternoon teas.

The overnight parking area is quiet and sheltered.

Chris is happy for self-contained motor caravanners to park overnight even if the cafe is closed. However, please phone in ahead of time.
