The DOC campsite at Kaimanawa Rd is a very basic campsite in an isolated forest area. It takes a while to drive to this campsite, only to discover that there is very little there. A basic parking area with a toilet is about it.
The sign pointing to the campsite looked interesting, but we had difficulty finding anything. Maybe we took the wrong turning.
