Piarere Hall is located near the start of SH29 to Matamata and has both sealed and grass parking areas where self-contained vans can park overnight.
There was a large transport truck pulled up in front of the hall when we arrived/ There was still plenty of room, but another truck pulled in soon after the first one left, so we figured that this must be a popular resting place for drivers.
If you were staying overnight, it would be best to park on the grass area well back from the road. Even so, it's likely to be a bit noisy.
