WAIKATO: COROMANDEL WEST

Anglers Lodge and Holiday Park Is nestled in a sheltered valley, surrounded by bush, and with a clear stream, great fishing and has excellent facilities.

This is primarily a luxury lodge that specializes in fishing charters that give visitors the opportunity to catch large snapper and gamefish. But they also provide for motor caravanners, and recreational fishers with their own boats and gear.

They are well equipped with everything you are likely to need, including basic groceries in the store. You can hire a dingy or canoe, and there is a large fish filleting area. 

There is also safe swimming and bush walks, and a thermal spa to relax in afterwards.

This isn't the cheapest place to stay in the Coromandel, but it provides a great New Zealand experience for those willing to pay a little bit more.
