Pakawau Beach Park is an older campsite but is located right on the beach. The facilities are showing their age, but the location is good and would suit families wanting room for children to run around.
The office is managed by the Pakawau store next door.
We visited again in April, 2021, when we were treated to a stunning sunset over the harbour.
