The Kaka Point Camping Ground is a typical Kiwi campground with good facilities in a small rural community with a ruggedly beautiful coastline.
This would be an ideal place to get away from city life and to just chill out for as long as you want to. The facilities are good, so you don't have to completely rough it.
It's too far to walk to the beach, but you could do day trips to the lighthouse, or fossicking for shells, or checking out the seals.
