The Roaring Meg Lookout is roughly halfway between Gibbston and Cromwell, and has a small parking area with stunning views of the power station and over the Kawarau river.
This is a great place to stop for a break while driving between Queenstown and Cromwell. On a clear day the views down the river are spectacular.
