Parking in the reserve
Glencoe Recreation Reserve is a standard DOC campsite in a sheltered area surrounded by beech and podocarp forest. There is a river, walking and tramping tracks nearby.
Basic long-drop toilets, barbeque and picnic tables available.
Access is down a gravel drive, which can be difficult if the ground is wet.
Dogs must be on leads and kept under strict control.
The campsite was empty when we visited in early autumn, but is likely to be very busy over the summer holidays.
