Long-drop toilet
The reserve at the south end of Katiki beach has a single long-drop public toilet, and a large area of sheltered parking. Overnight parking is also allowed for self-contained vans.
We had parked overnight in the middle reserve, and were just checking this one out on our way to Dunedin. The parking area didn't look very large until we walked down the drive to find a whole series of parking alcoves backing onto the beach.
Very nice and sheltered, as well as being private. Very large vans might have a problem getting in and out.
