Omakau Commercial Hotel is in the heart of Omakau town, and offers boutique campsite facilities for motor caravanners

The toilets are in a private ensuite alongside the powered site parking. Fees are only charged if you want a powered site with access to the ensuite and laundry.

If you don't need these facilities, then parking is available in the main parking area.

Check in at reception when you arrive.

Please note that only bore water is available.

Current rates are $15 per night per van for powered site. Extra charges for use of toilet and laundry facilities.

While we didn't have time to stay, the hotel bar and restaurant looked very nice.

The hotel is located on the Otago Central Rail Trail, making this an excellent, more upmarket stop for keen cyclists, or anyone wanting to explore the area.

There is also a large, historic hall where larger groups can book in for meals or a celebration.
