NORTHLAND: WHANGAROA

Te Ngaire Bay is a small seaside community with a magnificent sheltered beach and a large grassed area along the water front. There are clean public toilets at the northern end and the Far North District council have now made this parking area available for Freedom Camping inr certified self-contained motorhomes.

Freedom Camping is also allowed at the southern end of the reserve, by the estuary. 

While you can't freedom camp on the on the grassed area, it's also a great spot to just stop for a picnic, or to go for a walk along the beach..
