Teal Bay Reserve is in a quiet seaside location. The reserve carpark overlooks Helena Bay and is available for self-contained motor caravanners to park overnight.
It's just a small carpark and reserve, nestled in a collection of holiday homes in a seaside community. However, it is so far off the beaten track, it is unlikely to be crowded.
With a beautiful beach, it is a great place to get away from everything, and just enjoy the real New Zealand.

The Whangarei District Council no longer allows freedom camping in this location.
