NORTHLAND: HOKIANGA

Taheke Tavern is a country pub that can offer a basic meal and overnight parking for self-contained motor caravanners.

The car park is large but close to the main road, so it might be a bit noisy overnight. It's a typical small country pub inside, with pool tables, TV, and a basic menu.

I called just out of curiosity, having driven past many time previously. The owvers were pretty casual, and happy for us to stay overnight if we wanted to. However, I had to be in Kaikohe, so we just took some pictures and continued on.
