Kerikeri Top 10 Holiday Park is well placed for spending time in Kerikeri town, being just 500 m from the town centre. The Puketorara river is also a feature, with good summer swimming, and kayaks available for guest use.

The holiday park is located on the side of a hill, so the drive past reception and on to the parking areas was quite steep. But the powered sites were well laid out and quite level.

It's a surprisingly large campsite for a town location, with a park like setting along the banks of the Puketorara river. The river is a really nice feature, and there are kayaks available for guests to use freely. Paddling down the river will take you to water holes where there is safe swimming.

Walking into town and exploring Kerikeri is another popular option. Kerikeri is a stunning town, with great shopping , excellent eating out, as well as a range of visitor experiences, like the Rewa Village, the Stone Store, the Chocolate Factory, and the Wharepuke Sub-tropical gardens.

If you cross the bridge across the river, you can follow the track up to the Kerikeri golf course, where you can hire clubs and play on a casual basis.

You can see more information in the Kerikeri Community website at www.kerikeri.co.nz

The facilities were all clean and comfortable. We stayed overnight, and the showers were good, and unmetered.

We enjoyed our brief stay.
