Parking with a view over the lake
Lake Tekapo Holiday Park is on the edge of town with a stunning view over the lake. With excellent facilities, this is the best option for motor caravanners exploring the area.
Only a few of the powered sites have view over the lake, so you might want to book in advance if you're keen for that experience.
If you're travelling with bikes, there is an excellent cycleway along the lakefront into Tekapo village. It's only a 15 minute walk, so that's a good option as well.
Contact the holiday park first if you're travelling with pets, as they are only allowed at certain times of year.
