Aoraki Mt Cook is a tourist destination offering a nice cafe, and stunning views of Mt Cook. There is only very limited motorhome parking and you can't stay overnight.

We were lucky enough to be able to drive up along Lake Pukaki to the Aoraki Mt Cook village on a beautiful clear autumn afternoon. Just the drive up the lake was worth the trip, with a number of places to stop and take in the view.

We had driven up with some of our motorhome friends, and we weren't disappointed when we arrived at the village. The views of Mt Cook were stunning, and the cafe provided a very nice lunch. Fortunately, we were able to find parking for our two motorhomes.

If you're planning to drive up in a motorhome, be prepared not to find suitable parking. That's the only negative, as it's a long drive to get there, and there really isn't enough parking for such a popular destination.
