The Victoria Park Campground in Waimate is run by the local council and provides clean, but basic, facilities for motor caravanners.
It has a sister campsite at Knottingley Park.
The campsite office was closed when we called in, but there is an honesty box for paying your fees if you're planning to stay over.
There is also a dump station, although the one outside in Naylor Street is much nicer to use.
