The native plant nursery
Waihora Park Reserve offers a huge grassed area for campsite parking, with water and toilets, but no power. There is also a native plant nursery.
They hed closed the campsite on the day we visited as there was going to be an equestrian event the next day. However, it's also a quiet time of the year, and unlikely to be many staying there anyway.
Unfortunately, the nursery was also closed as it would have been interesting to have had a look through it.
