Sulphur Point is a large parking area for the Tauranga yacht club where motor caravanners can park during the day. This used to be a nice location for parking overnight, but this is no longer allowed even though it is a huge parking area.
There is a Burnso should you need to do any repairs or buy campervan supplies. There's also a nice cafe.
There are also public toilets, but these are at the main entrance, making it a long walk from where you're allowed to park.
There was an enthusiastic kite surfer taking advantage of the windy weather while we were there.
