Public toilets
Waipuna Park has a sealed parking area set in a large sports reserve, where self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight from Sunday through to Thursday.
This is an excellent location, with trees for shade in the parking area, and a very pleasant outlook. While it is likely to be busy with sports activities on Friday and Saturday, it should be a nice quiet spot for the rest ot the week when freedom camping is allowed.
There is also a children's playground should you be travelling with youngsters.
While there are public toilets, you do need to be self-contained, and you are limited to 2 nights per month. There is also a limit of 4 motorhomes per night.
