Dump station tap - difficult to use
Spring-loaded drinking water tap
The PDS in Maleme St also provides drinking water. However, it is not really suitable for large vans, especially if the road is busy.
For our van, we had to turn around across a potentially busy road in order to be on the correct side for emptying our grey water. It would be a lot easier for motorhomes with grey water outlet on the passenger's side.
Turning into the dump station area was made more difficult because it is quite narrow, and you have to be careful not to scrape the side of you van with the safety fence.
While the dump station was functional, there was no hose on the push-button tap, making it difficult to use, as well as to clean up afterwards.
Likewise, the fresh water tap was spring loaded, requiring you to hold it on for the 4 or 5 minutes it takes to refill your water tank.
