The Council is presently reviewing their Freedom Camping Bylaw which will hopefully be completed in 2019
Tuakau PDS
There is a public dump station in Tuakau, just south of Pukekohe. Unfortunately, there is no drinking water available - the nearest being the Caltex service station at Karaka.
The Franklin District Council also allows freedom camping for self-contained motor caravanners for a maximum of 2 consecutive nights. All rubbish must be removed, and dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
