Cornwallis Park is a large beachfront reserve that overlooks Mill Bay. There is a small parking area where self-contained motor caravanners can park overnight.
We called in on a public holiday, and the parking areas was nearly full. However, it should normally be almost empty, and would be a nice place to stay.
You can't park on the grass reserve, and have to use the sealed carpark which is just off the main Huia Rd.
There are two other access points for the reserve, but they are not suitable for large motorhomes. Use the middle one, where there is good off road parking.
